Who logged in a Win 95 machine?

By tom_a_morris ·
I run a mixture of Win 95 and NT 4.0 clients.

I know how to tell which domain controller logged in the NT machines...how can I tell which domain controllers logged in the Windows 95 clients?

If the WIN95 machines are clients and are part of a workgroup setting, you will have to look at the user level access or ad logon services to the domain to determine which controller signed machine into the domain.

Make sure that there is a CONFIG.POL file in the NETLOGON directory on the Primary Domain Controller on the Windows NT network
The client computer has it's domain set properly on the property sheet for Microsoft Networks in Network option
Client needs to Logon to Domain
Make sure that client computer is configured for automatic policy downloading
Enable error messages on the client computer and see if they are displayed
Use System Policy editor, click new from the File menu to create a new policy file
You will have to set up System Policies.
