I have files that are being created a various times during the day and night. I have no clue whose doing it?
I have Google the file extension, .SQM, and am told that it could be Microsoft or some game???
I am unsure how to determine which is doing it so that I know what’s require to understand and manage this creation.
Has anyone ever seen these files in your system and know whats causing it. When it occcurs, it always occurs in a pair. For example the most recent is sqmnoopt10.sqm and sqmdata10.sqm. And, it deposits in the root directory on my system drive letter. For some reason, it had reset and restarted issuing numerical growth with 00 on 10/1/07. And its filesize is 244 bytes and 268 bytes, respectively, in all occurances.
Ideas?
