Why am I having trouble opening menus in Amazon.com

By Magpie1956 ·
Hello

I am experiencing problems with www.amazon.com with the menus under MANAGE YOUR KINDLE will all left menus with the exception of the 2 under SUPPORT. I can open all other menus including ordering ebooks? I was wondering if anyone else has this problem? I am using IE8 on a 64bit PC using VISTA Home Premium.

I was thinking upgrading to IE9 might be the answer but I have a 64 bit PC.

Appreciate any help you may have.

Cheers
Barbara...

Maybe moving away from IE is the answer here

by OH Smeg In reply to Why am I having trouble o ...

Infernal Exploder has a reputation of not being very secure and M$ even admit that IE6 was the worst Browser ever.

I personally find that many Site Developers have dropped support for IE anyway and recommend Monzilla or Chrome. Even then most of my customers are using Chrome which they all claim is faster and suits their needs better.

But as this is a direct Amazon Question you would be better off asking them directly as they are the ones who develop and maintain their site and should know how it works and what it works best with.

Many thanks Col. I have to admit I am a creature of human nature and always used IE and agree it is becoming very unreliable. I have been both in touch with MS and Amazon. MS told me to contact the PC vendor, which is Dell and Amazon don't believe it is their problem but MS but say they are working on the problem... next Christmas has a better chance of getting here I think before I hear from them... vbg... I have heard of Monzilla (sounds like a cheese?, vbg) and Chrome... which would you advise? Do they work similar to IE? Can both be downloaded at the same time? and, where can I download either of the above? I was thinking of upgrading to IE9 but heard it runs slow with a 64 bit PC? I really appreciate your feedback Col and thank you so much for your time and help.

URLs are problematic at the moment on TR

But I'll give it a go.

Monzilla FireFox can be downloaded here

http://www.mozilla .org/en-US/firefox/new/

And Google Chrome can be downloaded here

http://www.google .com.au/chrome/index.html?hl=en&brand=CHNG&utm_source=en-hpp&utm_medium=hpp&utm_campaign=en

Just remove any spaces in the above to get working links.

Not really weird Amazon bases it's OS on Android and their Web Site is Optermised for Chrome so it only makes sense that their Web Site works better under chrome and not IE.
