I was able to add 2 XP machines just fine to the 2008 R2 DC, but I cannot add the Windows 7 machines. I get an error about “An attempt to resolve the DNS name of the domain controller has failed….”
I have set the DNS server address to that of the DC on both the DC and the client. I have removed the DNS role on the DC and re-added the role.
Please help me figure this out, it is happening on all of the Windows 7 PCs.
