I’ve searched up and down Amazon.com, Barnes and Nobles, Bookpool.com, etc, and the only book I’m finding that covers anything on VMWare VI3 is yet to be published and won’t be available until the end of January, 2008. Why are publishers of technical books dragging their feet and produce books a bit too late? I’ve even found situations where a book takes so long to publish that by the time it hits the store shelves, it’s 2 versions behind the current product and useless at that point in time. I have the VMWare VI3 product installed on an actual HP ProLiant server in my home, but unless I find a good book on how to use the product, it’s as good as useless to me. I’m also not inclined to drop about $4,000 and waste a week in class to learn it because I don’t have the time or money to spend now.
