Why is Chattanooga such a test bed for technology? The new Lucent/Municipality created fiber to the home experiment and also Comcast does alot of new market deployments to test new methods before rolling out to the entire Mid-South region. Is Chattanooga near a fiber backbone or some other technology hub site? Or was it as simple as it met the right conditions and it won lottery? Does anyone know the details about this, not just guessing?
