Why do companies continue to use T1 lines for pt-to-pt data connections?

Hello – just wondering if there is anyone out there that knows of, or works for, a company that uses T1 lines for point to point data connections.

Compared to T1 lines, in terms of $/(bit/sec), DSL lines are usually a lot less costly. Since it is possible to combine DSL lines to get a higher speed (and more reliable) connection, why wouldn’t a company do this to reduce bandwidth costs?

Thanks in advance for any replies. 😉
