Oh well

by Oz_Media In reply to because...

I always wondered what was screwing my system up. now i know, but I will just have to deal with it because... (cue music please)

"I love myself
I want you to love me
When I'm feelin' down
I want you above me
I search myself
I want you to find me
I forget myself
I want you to remind me

Chorus:
I don't want anybody else
When I think about you
I touch myself
I don't want anybody else
Oh no, oh no, oh no

You're the one who makes me happy honey
You're the sun who makes me shine
When you're around I'm always laughing
I want to make you mine

I close my eyes
And see you before me
Think I would die
If you were to ignore me
A fool could see
Just how much I adore you
I get down on my knees
I'd do anything for you

Chorus

I love myself
I want you to love me
When I'm feelin' down
I want you above me
I search myself
I want you to find me
I forget myself
I want you to remind me

Chorus

I want you
I don't want anybody else
And when I think about you
I touch myself
Ooh, oooh, oooooh, aaaaaah"

Man, them thar Divinyls, what a gas!

Oh, oh-ooooh
I don't want anybody else
When I think about you
I touch myself

(3sec fade out, cue promo)

I love the oddities

by Oz_Media In reply to Whoa

I listen to some of rarer stuff from the 70's-80's

I think one of the most classic and important music videos ever was by another oddity called The Buggles. When I say that, people always ask who the **** are The Buggles?

The first video ever aired on MTV, The Buggles - Video Killed The Radio Star.

So there's some more rarely heard of names these days, Trevor Horn, Bruce Woolley, Geoff Downs. Killer stuff (literally).

live for it

by Oz_Media In reply to !

I am into just about EVERYTHING that shows some talent.

Metal (deep in my blood), Jazz (my smokey side), PopRock (my mainstream side which doesn't rear its ugly head so often these days unless for an 80's flashback), Punk (the Brit in me), Reggae (the mellow in me, mon), OLD country (the traveller in me), Classical (the composer and audiophile in me).

I don't do Rap, Techno, fluff pop (Britney Spears et al). While there is some small bit of talent required, most of it is simply cashing in on someone else's talents.

Because man made computers

by Oz_Media In reply to WHY DO COMPUTER SYSTEM CO ...

Humans designed the computers and the software that they run. They are complex, humans are not, humans make stupid mistakes.

There are problems with drivers working one day and not another, due to some hidden background update that conflicts with it.

Automatic updates, often add files that screw up a normally working computer.

But MOST of the time, and I mean 99.9999999% of the time, it is user error.
>Poorly protected system becomes compromised
>Website visited installs buggy software
>Something was installed either with to without permission that screws with other files

Computers are not perfect

by Snuffy09 In reply to WHY DO COMPUTER SYSTEM CO ...

They can?t be... They are made/programmed by people, People are not perfect, and people make mistakes.

If we were perfect we wouldn?t have to download Gigabytes of updates from Microsoft to keep our operating systems running smoothly. We wouldn?t need patch fixes because they would have been fixed the first time. Computers and software inherit their flaws from us.

If you are talking about Hardware, I dont need to tell you that nothing lasts forever.
