Why do I get We re sorry, but the page you requested could not be found?

I get an email telling me that someone had replied to a Question that I asked on this site. I click on this link
1. Discussion - How can I ask a question on the Facebook site about a feature?
For some reason, after a long delay, it displays a page saying:
Were sorry, but the page you requested could not be found that is www.techrepublic.com/forum/questions/101-348531-3501241?alertspromo=100901&tag=nl.rCOMBINED.
So I start over and try it again and I get the same result.
I click Log In and go to My Stuff and now I can access the page that was linked but couldn't be "found". So, WHAT'S UP?

I know .... no odd characters can be used in Subject lines on this site!

I edited my apostrophe out of my original Subject line since this site turns any odd characters into a mess of weird characters and we sure don't need to be seeing that crud. Why don't they fix this site? I'm pretty sure that this site is run by a bunch of folks who should be experts at solving this kind of stuff!
And do I really need to remember to check that box down below every time so that I will be Alerted of any new comments that are made? I did remember to check it this time. WHEW! I sure don't just run around this site posting stuff that I have no interest in following in the future. HMMM?

Spam that is hitting the site probably.

Any Spam that gets reported and removed will result in that Listing or it could just be that at the time there are Site Issues.

As for needing to click Subscribe at the bottom of every post you can alter this to Automatically Subscribe me to any discussions I participate in by changing a setting in your User Profile.

Click on My Account on the top bar and then when the next window opens click on the Icon called Preferences and then add a tick tot he box Automatically alert me when new posts are added to threads I participate in

That will automatically subscribe you to everything you post to or at least it should.

Try again in two seconds or two hours. The site is completely unreliable.
