Why does my Inspiron 530 loose the print connection 2 to 3 times a month?

My "free" Dell printer delivered and driven by my Inspiron 530 looses its print connection with the CPU 2 or 3 times a month. Troubleshooting says to disconnect the printer from AC and USB turn the CPU off, reconnect and reboot all equipment. What a hassel!!!!!!!!!!!

Just looking for someone to point me in the right direction with some information, some hypothesis, some activities to try which might shed mire light on the problem. The folks at Dell have not been helpful. Windows Vista is OP system.

Of course if you shut down at the end of the day this issue shouldn't exist.

But what exactly have you tried here and do you have a 32 or 64 Bit OS?

Have you tried to update the drivers for your printer from the Dell Web Site?

Also as TR is a World Wide Community what you get given by a company like Dell where you live has no resemblance to what Dell may use on a similar promotion elsewhere in the world so it's a good idea to include Model Numbers.
