I have 3 shared printers on a print server (win2003). Suddenly about a month ago user startet losing connection to the printers. The printer is shown in windows and the status is “ready”. BUT the user can’t print and the properties are not available. When i try to open the printer properties i get the message that the printer driver is not installed.
The only solution i found thus far is to delete the drivers either via cleanspl or regedit and re-add the printers.
This helps sometimes, but the problem comes back again periodically.
What might be the problem? :-/
