Why does the modem has a flashing green light in the back of it?

By monarale ·
My friend and I just moved her mother's Compaq Presario. (Desk Top) It has Windows Vista. We disconnected everything and when we got it to the new location and reconnected it. Well, no power. All we seen was a green light flashing and even the fan didn't come on. Can anyone diagnose this for me? It was working before we moved it.

The Power Lead isn't plugged into the computer properly. The IDE Plugs are a tight fit in the socket in the Power Supply so you have to push them in fully.

The next thing is that AGP Video Cards move out of the socket on the M'Board when you move the case around so you need to open the case unscrew the Video Card and remove it and then plug it back in and screw up the set screw if you have a Plug In Video Card.

They are the obvious things but you should also check the power point that you have connected the computer to to make sure that it's working. So a Hair Dryer or something similar can be used to make sure that the actual power point works.
