Why does Vista change the power scheme when it wants to?

by stile777 . Updated 14 years, 3 months ago

I am tired of this happening. For the default power scheme it turns off the monitor in 20 minutes and puts a password on wakeup. Now I have deleted all power schemes but mine (I changed the turn off monitor to 4 hours and no password required). For no apparent reason Vista will change it back to 20 minutes!!!! and YES for password!! Please tell me how to fix this?!!! I have created an icon for the power options so I can hit the “default” button to change the plan back to the “default” (my plan, as its the only one). And some time Vista will turn it back to 20 and Yes. When I do not know so it could be 1 min or 12 hrs or anytime inbetween but I know this it will change it! Help me fix this please!

It’s been 10 Days and no response 🙁

p.s. I am running XP now! Forget Vista
