Why is old tablet able to run games better than my brand new tablet?

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy tab a7 lite model number SM-T220 with 4 gb ram and 64 gb hard drive. It is choppy and laggy while playing certain games that run smooth and without issue on my older 6th generation iPad model number MRJN2LL/A with 2 gb ram and 32 bg hard drive. Could someone please tell me the reason for this? And possibly a recommendation for a budget tablet that is more capable for games? Thanks in advance​

Don’t try to compare the two tablets. A Samsung tablet operating on Android OS is a different beast than an iPad on iOS. They use completely different operating systems.

Samsung makes a very good, solid tablet for a good price. I have used the 7-inch tablets, but currently I have the Tab Pro 7 + and I am very happy. Best wishes

In your opinion, what would be the cheapest Samsung tablet that will run a game like pixel gun 3d without gameplay being choppy or any lag? Or are there settings that could be adjusted on the Galaxy tab a7 lite that would allow it to be able to?

So the lag and speed is related to your WiFi connection. Since no two devices perform the same so you want to try playing the game in the same room as the router.

May be you are facing issue because of game bug or WIFI connection but in my opinion it is because of the processor diference.
