Why won't Ctrl-Enter work any more?

My computer at home has lost a magic ability in Explorer. I used to be able to type one word in the address bar (like "yahoo") and then hit Ctrl-Enter. Explorer would add the "www." and the ".com" in the appropriate places. It no longer works. Please tell me why and how to fix it. Please...

Gleened from a quick google search:

Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Content -> Auto Complete and make sure 'Web addresses' is checked.

Add a shortcut called "yahoo" to your favorites that points to www.yahoo.com.

Actually, this trick will work for anything. Example bookmark called "mail" could point to "http:\\msn.hotmail.com\default.asp"
