Environment: Windows XP SP3 32-bit
Issue: Trying to install the Adobe Flash Player 10.2. Old Flash Player [wasn’t working] was remove. System rebooted. Tried to install latest player from Adobe Download Manager and by downloading the player first before installing. Both failed. Also tried an older downloaded version. Failed. Installer says it was installed. Yet sites such as YouTube says it isn’t.
In the web page for http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ , it doesn’t show a version installed. There is no Shockwave Flash Object listed in the Manage Add-Ons. User is logged on as administrator.
