Why won’t my PC see all of my drive?

I am setting up a Windows 2000 Advanced Server PC with a 300GB IDE drive. The OS only sees 137 of the 300 gigs. The BIOS recognizes the entire drive and we’re using an 80 pin cable that came wiht the drive. I tried booting to a Windows 2003 Server disk and it seems the whole drive is recognized there as well. We’re scratching our heads here. Any ideas? I can’t find anything relevant in the MS knowledge base, but then, I rarely do. Even Google is a bust.
