Why won't Office 2007 work on Windows 2000?

By khoar ·
I currently own a computer bought in 2001 that runs Windows 2000.
I have a 133 MHz processor, 128 MB of RAM, and a VGA monitor

Why won't this run Office 2007?

Hi. You need to change your system as well as Windows.

Office 2007 can't run on your current system because Office 2007 require at least Windows XP Service Pack 2 to install and run.

In current condition all you need to do is change to Windows XP Professional Edition Service Pack 2 in order to install and run Office 2007. However, your current system specification is insufficient to effectively run the Office 2007. You also need to change your computer.

Minimum Specifications to run Microsoft Office 2007 are as follow-

Motherboard - Gigabyte 8S648FXP-RZ
Processor - Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz
Memory - 512 MB DDR 400
Hard Disk - 40 GB
Optical Drive - DVD ROM
Graphic Card - 128 MB Geforce 5200
Monitor - Standard VGA Monitor

As above specifications you need to change your Motherboard, Processor, Memory, Hard Disk, Optical Drive, Graphic Card.

Thanks for asking. I hope this information will solve your problem.
