    Wi-Fi extending

Hi from UK; I’m om TalkTalk with their router which, by ethernet wiring, connects to the hi-fi unit in another room for streaming audio via an Onkyo receiver. There is also an ethernet socket in our garden room where the Wi-Fi signal doesn’t reach. What device can I plug into this socket to repeat the Wi-Fi signal? There is a power socket next to it but it’s not on the same house circuit so TP Link devices don’t do it.

      The Ethernet socket?

That would be a Wireless Access Point (WAP) or a router configured as a WAP. (Google that phrase to learn how.)

Let me be clear I NEVER extend WiFi. I use a WAP or router as a WAP to give us a nice clean clear signal hotspot.
