Need some tech help. I’ve got internet coming in but no WiFi signal being broadcasted. I’ve unplugged and let it reset, done a factory reset. I’ve got my laptop hardwired into the router and can get online with it. Tried to get into the router with the nighthawk app but it says that the device is offline ? Its a net gear nighthawk router

I’ll have to go with a defective router. I take it’s new and never worked so see if you can exchange it where you bought it before bothering with Netgear’s warranty.

Anything remarkable in the router management page? Just enter the it’s IP-address in your browser address bar (something like 192.168.1.1) enter the password (something like Admin) and the password (might be 0000) and look around. The user manual tells what you have to enter.

Does it show up in the list of WiFi-routers your laptop is showing if you click the WiFi-network symbol in the taskbar. Or only those of your neighbours?

Does it show in the list of routers if you click the WiFi-symbol on the taskbar? Or do you only see your neighbours routers?

Go into the router management page (while connected via the Ethernet cable) and see if anything is wrong, for example the router only using the 5 Ghz band and your phone only receiving the 2.4 Ghz band). The user manual tells more.

Does it show in the list of available WiFi-addresses in your laptop?

Anything noteworthy in the router management page (visit it when connected via Ethernet). See your manual how to do it.
