Will this router/cable support fibre optic

I’m currently moving into a student home with some friends and we have bought a fibre optic package. They have sent us a Hitron CGNV4-FX4 which according to this site (https://www.virginmediabusiness.co.uk/help-and-advice/products-and-services/hitron-router-guide/) supports up to 500 mbps which seems like more than enough. However the port on the back says ‘COAX Cable’ and when I looked it up it says this type of cable only supports 10mbps. Does a fibre optic cable fit into the same port or is fibre optic not compatible with this router?

The lack of documentation for this model has been a real pain. The manual this type of router is here (https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1200162/Hitron-Cgnv4.html?page=9#manual) however it seems that this manual is for the CGNV4-BIZ) I’m really lost and just need some help from someone who knows networking

The Fibre Modem I have here or at least the one that uses a Fibre Network

Has a Coax lead from the fibre box on the side of the house to the Modem. Had the same set up on the Cable network a few years ago as well. For “Domestic” Optical Fibre doesn’t always mean Fibre to the Modem but that the network is Fibre and the finial step can be different and most times it’s Coax.

Hope that is of some help
