It used to be in NT 4.0 . The PDC holds the computer accounts. When a user joined the domain either they created a computer account using the user name and password of an administrator or the computer account was entered into server manager ahead of time by an administrator so when the user joined the domain there would be no prompt for an administrators user name and password.
When trying to join a windows 2000 workstation to a NT 4.0 server PDC , the workstation still promptsfor the admins user name and password even though the computer account has already been added to the nt 4.0 server manager. The only way to join a Windows nt 4.0 domain with a windows 2000 client is to do it from the client using the admins user name and password . Are they goingto fix that ?
