win 2000 pro access

By sahilshaa ·
Dear ALL:

I have windows 2000 pro setup on small network every computer connect from workgruop and IP address. The problem is that when One Pc want to connect from other pc its require username & password. Does it's possible one system directly connect to other system without username & password without creating other users account?. Please give me any advise which that helped me.

Your cooperation would be highly appreciated

enable the guest account on the machine that you want to recieve connections, this also poses a security risk, make sure you whole lan is behind a firewall

well what exactly are you wanting to do with your network?? you can take and enable the Server service in services.msc, and go to my computer right click on your hard drive and enable sharing. i think you can add the users from the other computers for direct access. you need to do this for all the computers on your network.
