Win 2000 Setup

Having upgrading to Win XP, a virus took over our hard drive. Attempting to format and reinstall Win 2000 (This particular operator did not like XP.), the setup floppies worked perfectly. But, now that I’m trying to setup Win 2000, I continue to receive a window that states CD number (PID) is not valid. How can that be when it’s the same disc used when Win 2000 was installed??

Have queried Microsoft, but no response. I’ve been told there’s a phone number you can call that will provide new numbers for installation, but no one seems to know the number.
