Win 2003 server basic questions

By e_canaan ·
Hello there,

I'm new to Win 2003 environment.

I'm setting up win 2003 SB for for a 30-employee company.
I created an OU for the company in Server Management in AD. However, when I
add a user under this OU, it does not automatically add a home directory for
the user under "C:\Users shared folders". It only does it when I use the "a
dd user wizzard" which by default place the user under "MyBusiness" OU.

What am I doing wrong? How do you specify the home folder when you create a
user? Also,in general where should the data be, should I create my own folde
rs or use the built-in shared folders.??

I appreciate any advice.

Wrong forum.

This is a tech. problem, in search of a solution.

It properly belongs in "Technical Q&A," not in "Discussions." Please re-post there.

Not only will you be more likely to attract the attention of those seeking to provide answers, but you will also make it easier for those seeking discussions to find such.

Thank you.

My pleasure.

The TR site does nothing to help guide one to the proper forum, with the result that all to many Tech. questions get posted as "Discussions," particularly when an article published on the site gives rise to the opportunity to ask, since the articles contain links to the "Discussion" forum, but noe for the "Q&A" one.

This problem has been addressed in several Discussions, to no avail.
