I have new Toshiba Tecra 8100 with a Toshiba internal V90 56k modem running Win 2000. I have updated all drivers to the latest versions – OS and Modem drivers. My problem is when I connect to my ISP I get the following message. “Error 720 The connection attempt failed because your computer and the remote computer could not agree on PPP control protocols” I have spent hours on the phone with the ISP and confirmed all my settings are correct. I have tried all suggestions in the Help screen. Ihave tried connecting to another ISP, same problem.
Any suggestions/help would be greatly helpful.
