Win 2K Pro – Overlapping Text Display

i ve a problem only in Win2k Pro. version. In applications like VB, Notepad, Metapad if the text length exceeds 255 characters, then the characters after that starts to appear overlapping with the beginning of the line characters thus blurring the characters in the line beginning. Any ways to correct the display problem
