win 2k raid

can anyone tell me if win 2k professional has
mirroring raid.. I know server does but some told me it does not. If it does how do you use it, thanks..

I suppose you mean software mirroring in this situation, since hardware mirroring can be used on any system.
You're out of luck, win2k proffesional does not support software mirroring of it's partitions.

As stated by the previous responder, Win 2K Pro does not support software mirroring or striping with parity (raid 5). as an alternative, there are several companies currently offering IDE Raid Disk Controlers. with these devices, you can mirror two drives together using low cost IDE equipment rather than the expense of SCSI.

Although the performance doesnot equil that of a SCSI raid setup, for a low budget solution, it is a lot better than nothing. put your drives into drive drawer's and youcan have a nice easy to use and maintain raid setup for very low cost.

If my understanding is correct. All Win2K support mirror volume, striped volume. Please refer below site.
