win 95 start up failure

system will not start up after trying to insatll an isp . will nit ket me gain entry even on safe mode . also tried to go by step by step configuration . please help me get into system to be able to look at drives to see if any are corrupt or missing . i do get a vxd error . if not how can i unistall win 95 and install 98

Insert the Startup disk and when you see the startup screen press the designated key to enter safe mode,or to check the CMOS panel at startup press the key to enter setup and check the drive configuration to be ste to AUTO
To check drives you can run scan disk from dos prompt.
Proceed woth the 98 cd-rom and it shaould dauo start to run setup,otherwise you will need a WIN 98 startup disk to run setup and choose option to run setup with cd-rom support
Check to make sure that all cards are seated properly and that Video card is not causing the problem

how could i start cmos at stat up
