Well let me give some resources tips..Upon starting your computer if you right click on "My Computer" on your desktop..go down to "Properties".."System properties" window will pop up..go to performance...there you will see "System Resources"..when you first turn your computer on, you should be atleast 90.. As you open and close programs..that number will go down..sooo what the problem is some programs are better then others at giving back "System resources"..and some programs are not so good...Like Microsoft Office is not good at giving back...The only way to reclaim "System resources" is to restart your computer...are you having a problem?? How much ram do you have? Do you have alot of programs in your "startup folder"?

Basically, NO. System resources can not be increased. Try to close some programs, and clean up your startup applications etc to make it last longer. A good article on this was posted last week in the main forum.

Of course Possible!
1) run "msconfig" --> start-up --> uncheck all the programs that do not needed to be started.
2) un-install all the unnecessary programs; and clean them up by RegCleaner (www.jv16.org)
3) Delete all the unnecessary icons on the desktop and the status bar.
4) use less RAM: control panel-->monitor-->settings -->256 colors and 800x600 pixels.
(background sets to "nil")
5) Use a lower version of IE (4.0 or 5.0; not 5.5 or 6.0) Use less system fonts; and use less IE features. Or use other browsers or use IRErad to clean the IE.
6) Other Speed-up: Defrag always (use Disk-keeper or Norton)
