Anyone had any experience running Win 98SE on a SATA drive? I installed it on a system with SATA and it will only come up in safe mode. Maybe SATA controller driver for Win98?

Man, your still using windows 98, it is already 2005 maybe its time for a little upgrade there huh Buddy! Contact the manufacturer and see if they even suppport 98, If they can't help provide the drivers needed I would say your chances are not too good.
I suspect it is a driver issue. Safe mode uses compatibilty mode drivers for disk access.
Check mobo or SATA controller manufacturer's web site for drivers. As best I recall, Win98SE drivers are available for most SATA controllers.
The tricky part will be installing drivers. They will fit on a 1.44 floppy, so can access in safe mode. Whether they will install in safe mode is another matter.
