I have a Dell desktop with their install of Me and IE 5.0. IE will start with a DOS panel with several “Invalid switch” messages, a “Specified COMMAND search directory bad” message and the final line is “C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP>”. Dell suggested loading IE 5.5. Did that and no change. Also suggested a reload of Me. I don’t want to do that at this point. It has been suggested that there may have been a bad script file load when Me was installed. Any suggestions?
