WIN NT 4.0 SYSTEM32 SCREEN

By rosinskiek ·
I have a Windows NT 4.0 workstation which, upon boot-up and after connection to the domain, keeps getting the "System32" menu screen. I have removed from the registry:
KEYLOCAL/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWS/CURRENT VERSION/RUN the string called "BROWER CHECK" which has worked on previous workstation getting this screen. This particular continues to bring up this screen. Are there any other solutions to get this screen removed from the boot-up process?

Check the same key in HKEY_CURRENT_USER. If still no luck, download Autoruns from

http://www.sysinternals.com/misc.htm#autoruns

This will show you where everything that runs at startup is coming from.

I had already checked all the regristry keys and didn't find a string or key that was causing this to run. However, I did download the Autoruns and found it to be a great utility in searching the registry. What a time saver. Thanks for recommendation.
