win XP blue screen at start-up

By billbo260 ·
I have a AMD 2200 XP, Win XP(Home Ed SP1), 256k ram, 64m Video, DSL Cable modem thru router.
Problem: Sometimes when starting up,after the icons show on the desktop,it shows a blue screen with a page full of white lettering, but not long enough to see what it says.(Tried the pause key and even print key.) After this screen it restarts.
What's on the blue screen, or what can i do to fix this problem?

The problem may be caused by the timing or the cpu speed not set to the correctbus speed, boot computer and when the startup screen appears, press the designated key to enter Bios setup, check the motherboard manual to set the correct bus and cpu speedto specs.

Never thought about that! My friend bought this computer at show and was a 2200xp. When i checked, it was running at athlon 1.2 not 2200xp 1.7 as it should have been.
Think this should clear it up, plus faster speed!! Thanks
