Win XP can not login domain & can not login system with local admin account

1,this is migrated from another domain 3 weeks ago
2,this monday morning ,working 3 hours.can not login current domain,also can login system with local admin account.
3,can not check event log by remote.
4,ping the client is ok.
5,re-install os ,it working.
6,the xp is winxp pro sp2.

Pls ahare what is the issue?how can we prevent the issue happen again in future.Thx.

Dennis, I suggest you manually refresh group policy settings to make this workstation take the policy of the new domain (gpupdate).

Sometimes doing it the hardway helps.

Computer account

Make sure that the computer account exists in the domain and make sure it has not been disabled.

Remove the computer from the domain and re-add it to the domain to fix it.

That Deny local logon is not a part of the GPOs and in the local policies (especially if administrators have not been excluded. ;-)

It is set in Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment.
