Win XP compatibility

By akstephr ·
One of my clients read in a PC magazine (Maximum PC, December issue, he thinks) that Win XP has a compatibility program called "BootVis" that is supposed to be better than the compatibility wizard. He has the home edition and I am wondering if it is only on the professional. Does anyone know where to find this program?

"fastboot" should be one word in the above link. Please remove the embedded space after pasting the link in your browser.

When XP came out, some of the retailes had a free CD on hand that included a compatability analyser.

Also, there is a third party on-line compatability review system at www.pcpitstop.com

BootVis is a system analyzer and boot optimization tool.
You can download it from:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/BTV/1.0/WXP/EN-US/bootVis-tool.exe

You may need to copy and past the URL. All on one line.
