Win XP crashes

By garazorback ·
Win XP continues to have problems. I am not sure if it is software conflict or not. I have clean installed several times, loaded basic software -office, macromedia products, norton anitvirus, and quickbooks. It will work fine for a few days and then boom cannot find the system file. Restoring is a pain and I am tired of re-formatting and re-installing software. What's up with this?

My first thought is that you have a bad hard drive.

At this point, it is worth a try.

Otherwise, please add a comment to your post detailing your system hardware.

It was a bad hard drive from the beginning. Unfortunately, I lost it and the mother board from a UPS power spike, I think.

Thanks for all of your help!
