Win XP Lost its MP3 bitrate

I can no longer see the bitrate of any MP3 files. I customize the folder(s) (tick bitrate option) and the details option (in view) and all I see is headings – no values. If I use another PC on the same network I can see the file bitrates – no problem. All that I can now see is the name, size and file type – nothing else. It does not matter how I customize the folder. Any help ?
