do you have configration software loaded with your wireless card driver? If so, disable windows configuring tools for wlan and use it.

Quite right... Looks like a conflict between the configuration systems. First update the drivers and eventually check for the software update (if you're using it) then restart the pc and do as it says above.

You also might like to check if there are any other computers that can connect to the WiFI connection.

It's possible that the WiFi Hub/Router/what ever has either failed or is locked down so tightly that it will not accept another WiFi connection from an unknown computer.

I would try the above first but if that doesn't work I would then start looking at the other end as a possible problem.

lack of data is part of the problem... i have sayed litaraly all i know about this... the problem is i dont know where to look for more information... i have tryed pinging other computers from the broken one and from working ones... i went to the help thing and it told me to go to the change order of perfered networks... thats why i mentioned that that page is missing... as for the rest of that it mainly tells how to fix a network... i believe the problem is on my computer

1. Fist of all, are you sure it has WiFi card?, if it is a desktop PC it might not come with WiFi and that might be why you don't find the same TABS in the configuration window :).
2. Make sure your WiFi router has a big range of IP's in his DHCP server configuration (at least enough for all the computers in your house).
3. Check your Programs Menu for a Gateway WiFi Configuration Software, it could be there.
4. Check if you computer can connect via ethernet.
5. Also, it would help a lot if you can copy here the output of: "ipconfig /all" so we can know your current TCP/IP configuration.
