Win xp personal setting error

When I boot my PC it takes time on welcome screen and after that the error msg. comes ?theme error? and all of my desktop settings will reset. In my Documents and Settings folder a newly created temp user is working my desktop, My Documents are empty can you help me to clear it up

Your profile is corrupt. Rename your old profile folder with .old or .000 on the end, reboot. When you login a new profile will be created in the documents and settings folder. Copy favourites, documents etc from the old profile into the new one. Don’t be tempted to copy the whole contents accross or you will corrupt the new profile as well.

Login in Safe mode or Normal mode if possible and performed system restore to restore your system to an early state.

Boot into Safe Mode as Admin and create a new User Account in the Control Panel under the User Account Options for yourself.

The reboot and move all your data to the New User Profile if you have encrypted it you’ll need to move the encryption key as well following the directions in the following link

Once you have the system working correctly you can delete the corrupt account but [b]DO NOT[/b] chose the option to delete all Associated Files or you’ll loose all of your data.
