I have a machine with xp sp2 on a domain, the problem is as follows: the user logs in as a local user, so when ever she needs to access a network share a prompt would ask her to enter a domain credentials to grant her access and she has the option to save these credentials for future use, this was working fine until all of the sudden the stored credentials would be lost every time the computer reboot.
I have tried the following:
1- I checked for and removed sw that have been installed since the problem accrued.
2- Checked for viruses and malware.
3- Rejoined the machine to the domain.
4- Followed some article from MS about removing a reg key and letting windows re-create it, for it might be corrupt.
5- Uninstalled the anti virus (symantec corporate) and tried without an anti virus.
I have been searching for this for two days now, with no luck, any suggestions would be appreciated.
