Win XP problem

By darren ·
I'm logging into my home PC via a Remote Desktop Connection, but Explorer crashed so I cannot Shut Down!

If I click [ctrl] [alt] [delete] it only opens Task Manager on my actual machine, not the Remote connection.

I need to switch the computer off! Help!!

Are you set up for multiple connections? If so, have you tried connecting into it with a 2nd TS screen open? Maybe even log in as administrator or another account?

Can you open My Computer or Explorer on the desktop (I may be the only person in the world who puts a copy of Explorer on the desktop). For these reasons, I keep copies of Explorer and Task Manager (to shutdown) on my desktop if the Taskbar is gone.
