I’ve ran into a problem and was wondering if any of you guys know of a fix for it.
The issue is that WinXP install on my Gateway M465 will not run. I get “A disk read error occured” message asnking me to Restart. I was able to access data by hooking the SATA HD via USB enclosure, all data is there. HD is visible in BIOS, but when I tried running Win Recovery to try to fix NTLDR (that was an error message before) I had to run SATA drivers off of a floppy. I was able to run fixmbr successfully but still no go. Any ideas?
