By jonsf1 ·
I'm currently running Win2000, I saw some PC are running Win98 and Win2000 when the PC startup and let the user choose whether to start Win2000 or Win98.
Can someone help me to make this happen?

I would recommend that you go to www.powerquest.com and purchase a program called Partition Magic. That program allows you to create and change partition sizes on your computer without destroying your data. With that program comes a Boot Manager that allows you to choose between different operating systems installed on your computer. It a great program that is well worth the price.

Install Win 98 FIRST.Then install Win2K into it's own partition and you should be good to go.

This is for a clean install. If you want to keep your Win2K data then a third party program like Partition Magic is the way to go.

you need to have either both OS on the same fat32/fat16 partition or make a new one
load 98 in there and go to your boot.ini and tell it where your 9x os is by coping the line that points to w2k boot directory
