Win2000 Backup Schedular Fails

I have a problem with the built-in backup utility in Windows 2000. Scheduled backups only seem to work when the media is blank. When the media has been given a label the backup fails reporting that no ‘unused’ media was available. This is supposed to be corrected with the installation of SP2, but I am still getting this happen. If anyone knows how to get Ntbackup working reliably, I would be extremely grateful.
