Win2000 Client Drive Mappings

by pwo_at_medicineforthedefense.com . Updated 25 years, 3 months ago

Current network environment: Windows NT Server 4 with Windows 98 running on client PC’s.

We currently use a program called “Get Groups” (ggroups.exe) to map drives for client PC’s. ggroups.exe runs during the NT login script and allows drives tobe mapped based on the groups to which the user belongs.

We are planning to upgrade all clients to Windows 2000 Professional. The ggroups program fails on Windows 2000 clients.

Can anyone suggest any other methods of mapping drives for users based on group membership? Solution must include ability to manage centrally from the NT server.
