    Win2000 Server and Proxy with FTP server

    I am running Win2000server and MsProxy2.0 .
    I tried to setup a FTP Server but didn’t work. Any help on this issue?? I think I have to setup some user right policies and permissions but I don’t know how..
    Any help on this issue?

      It would be helpful to know what product you’re trying to set up and what you mean when you say it didn’t work.

      I assume that you mean that people could not log on to it. It would be important to know whether you are trying to enable anonymous access or only for those with accounts and how you have your directory structure set up.
      Also, exactly what any error messages said.

      With that information, someone on the forum will probably be able to get you pointed in the right direction to troubleshoot the installation.

      Ok, here’s the deal.. go into the proxy service in IIS.. right click on Web Proxy.. goto properties. On the publishing tab, click on “Requests are sent to the – local web server”. I believe requests are discarded by default.. then go into permissions. Set it for clear text (not NT/Challenge response. Or you can say that anonymous connections only. that should work.
