I have a dual boot machine of Win98 and Win2000Pro. Recently i installed a Sony CR-RW drive ( I already had a CD Rom drive installed). I booted up the machine and everything looked fine on both Win98 and Win2000. But after a while Win2000 began not to see the drives anymore (CD Rom and CD-RW). Meanwhile everything is fine with Win98. I tried by using device manager to uninstall and reinstall the hardware but it doesn’t work. It seems that the registry is corrupted. Can anyone suggest me anything ?
