We are attempting to set up Win 2K, advanced server with 4 Xeon 1.6 MHz cpus and 8G Ram. The server is "telling" us that we have 8 cpus and 4G Ram. Are we doing something wrong? This is a fresh install.
Any and all help appreciated. This is my first multiprocessor Xeon box.
Thanks,
Parke

Is this is home grown server or a well-known vendor machine (ie dell, compaq).
If the latter, what is the model.
Also Make sure, especially for 2k-adv that you have the latest bios update.
I've installed 2kadv server and never have I had it give me that.
You may also want to try limiting the ram to a gig right off the bat and see if that makes a difference. I know it sounds odd, since adv srvr supports 64gigs of ram.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
