I installed Win 2k pro on a dell cpxJ notebook and now I can not connect to our exchange server GAL. The error is unable to connect to address list see sys admin.. (a lot of help that is since I AM the sys admin 🙂 The Event Viewer mentions an error in “WMI Ldap and something missing on 009 on
registry.
A check of TechNet knowledge base reveals nothing on the error. uninstall of office 2000 and reinstall was no help. Account is accessible from other systems.. (server and account OK) Delete of profile is no help. Download of sp1a no help.
What is causing outlook not to connect to the online address book? With out connecting, I cannot even get the client to validate the profile. “Check Name”
And lets state the obvious…Yes the network and server are reachable by mapping or browsing. (No network issues.) This seems to be strictly an win 2K registry issue…
